We can always count on the house of Martin Margiela to deliver to the runway, a statement strong enough to hold us off at least until the following season. For SS 2011 Maison Martin Margiela it was the message of 2-dimensionality. The models transformed into paper dolls. Our eyebrows raised and eyes opened wide to register the surreal trompe l’oeil designs
as they made their way down the runway. I absolutely loved where they went this season, the collection was a beautiful journey into art through fashion.
