Bohemian ( fashion dictionary )

A style of clothing inspired by Bohemian and Indian cultures, characterised by colourful, flowing garments. The word derives from the French, bohemien, meaning a gypsy of society, taken from the Bohemian region of Europe. In current usage a bohemian is someone who secedes from conventionality in life and in art, reflectedd in bohemian fashion by an apparent lack of tailoring, a mix and match layering of colour textures, peasant skirts, tunics and scandals, accessorised with ethnic jewellery.
