Hats 1930-1939 ( history of fashion )

Short "eye"veils were a popular innovation, during the first years of this decate.
Pill box styles, knitted hats, berets and all kinds were in vogue, with hats taking smaller shapes, with (or without) brims and were perched on the side of the head at an acute angle.
Cossack hats made of fur/astrakan and tricorne shapes were also worn.
The julliet cap appeared in 1935 and had a small rounded skull cap, designed for placing the hair in a halo of curls. This type of hat was extremely popular as a bridal head accessorie in hues of white and ivory.
A hat without trims created a variaty of innovative shapes and drapped turbans, cossack and fez styles included sombrerros, pill boxes and robin hood (hat made of suede with the crown shaped to a point with tucks or folds were set at various angles).
Hats had a variety not only at the shapes that they had,but also at the alternative/personal way of the beholder's style (sideways angle, backwards e.tc.) with draped turbans and triangular kerchiefs being more popular at the end of the decade.
The turbans usually made by jersey fabric with carves attached, and most of them had a thin piece of elastic black or brown (bepending on the colour) matching material to keep them in position,or was drawn under the back hair, eye veils and swatches of net veiling were in vogue at the final years of the decade..
