New York based artist duo Lauren Was and Adam Eckstrom collect discarded lottery tickets and use them to create large-scale sculptural works of art. The artists originally started collecting lottery tickets they found on the ground, but eventually asked corner store clerks and lottery ticket vendors to hold onto the unwanted losing tickets until the duo’s collection was substantial enough to produce large scale works.
